OUR GOAL
Driven by a desire to create a space where comfort, and transformation happen every day.
We are passionate about making meaningful difference: one client, one treatment, and one peaceful moment at a time.
MEET OUR FOUNDERS
Founded by childhood best friends, Thao Nguyen and Mai Bui.
Our commitment is to offer a serene, professional environment where every guest receives exceptional care and leaves feeling refreshed and rested.
THAO NGUYEN
As a mother of two, I’ve learned that balance is never about perfection. My children remind me every day that growth comes from curiosity, patience, and love. They inspire me to create spaces and moments that are grounding, nurturing, and filled with care.
From these experiences, it has become a habitual practice in every interaction, including when I discovered the art and benefit of spa and beauty, which gave my work greater meaning.
My philosophy is to create environments and moments that allow people to pause, breathe, and reconnect with themselves. In both work and life, I aim to blend creativity, care, and meaning because I believe we’re at our best when we feel aligned inside and out.
MAI BUI
Mai spent the last eight years working full-time at the BC Women’s and Children’s Hospital, supervising the Patient Food Service Department, where she found great fulfillment serving patients and residents.
Throughout their nearly 30-year friendship, Thao and Mai have shared many life experiences, from spontaneously moving to Montreal and Calgary in pursuit of work to spending four months in Asia studying cosmetic tattooing and other beauty skills.
Guided by a shared passion and belief, they founded Aloemira Spa with the goal of creating meaningful experiences for their guests. Mai continues to serve the hospital, where she finds purpose, while also supporting Aloemira Spa, where she finds meaning in making direct impact on clients.
